Climate

Sierra Leone has a tropical climate with a rainy season from July to October. From November through to February a gentle breeze blows from the Sahara which offers a pleasant relief from the humidity. Average temperatures range from 20 to 30 degrees year round.

Trekking

A day in a 4×4, being driven by one of our guides round the peninsular. Stop at some of the best beaches in Africa , drive through the forest and take in the breathtaking costal views from the mountains.

Banana Island

Boat trip to this tropical island and take in the history of the old fort and cannons and discover the role of Sierra Leone in the slave trade. Visit the island’s rainforest with its many fruit trees and the chance to catch sight of reptiles, birds and monkeys. This trip includes a barbecue lunch on the beach.

Meet the villagers and see how real life remains unspoilt and unchanged for centuries. The people are well known for their hospitality you can visit the school and see how the locals live.

Chimpanzee Sanctuary

Jump in the Jeep and take a trip to the sanctuary 40 minutes outside of Freetown. Set high in the hills of the Western Area Forest Reserve. The sanctuary provides a home for orphaned and endangered Chimpanzees.
